THE STORY:

TigerBow was founded by Wahid Hossain, a Bangladeshi, with the hope to bring traditional Bangladeshi fabrics and craftmanship to a larger audience. Working with a team of female artisans, each bowtie is handcrafted using the traditional katan fabric. While starting small, TigerBow hopes to expand its line to include other products. In partnering with WPMarket, it is able to reach a larger market, design new products, and hire more women. 

YOUR PURCHASE SUPPORTS: 

TigerBow provides skills training and fair wages to its employees. In addition, TigerBow teaches the artisans about business, customer service, and product innovation and also how to use social media! 

 

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR WOMEN: 

TigerBow's artisans earn on average USD 100 per month. But if they can sell one TigerBow that will help them to earn additional USD 2.00.
